ABOUT FRANCES
I was born in Versailles in Paris, and moved around the world as a child, growing up surrounded by so many different places, people and cultures.
From a young age, I have always had a camera in my hand - I think as a way of celebrating and holding onto moments and relationships of an expat lifestyle. I started getting into photography seriously at the age of 13, when I got my first Camera, and I haven’t put it down since!
I’ve been to so many incredible countries, but Paris is definitely one of my favourite places to be, and whilst my French is a little rusty compared to how it used to be, I still visit my family there every year and visit the antiques markets in search of homewares! I absolutely love the aesthetic of the 1800’s, and I love to bring back pieces from our trips to decorate our home, whether its paintings or copper pans, or Delft tiles.
I now live in North Yorkshire with my husband and our four dogs in an old Georgian farmhouse which we’re slowly renovating, building a vegetable & flower garden, and getting ready to welcome home some runner ducks and chickens!
Our sausage dog Fleur spends a huge amount of time on my lap whilst I’m editing weddings, so she always gets the first sneak peak on whatever I’m working on next! A few things that feed my soul.. Country life, flower arranging (a mild obsession with Dahlias), gardening, baking, art galleries, antique markets, stately homes, sewing and never far from dogs and horses!
I feel so incredibly lucky to love my job. I adore weddings - the love, laughter, tears - all of it. I’ve always had a big love of classic and timeless style. I’m drawn to capturing the real, unposed moments of a wedding day, the heartfelt emotions and tears of joy. I love meeting new people and travelling all over the UK capturing timeless heirlooms for my couples and their families. It will forever be an honour to capture these once in a lifetime memories for my couples.
